THE PROFILING MACHINE
The design of the SkyProof product involves on-site production using special mobile profiling machines, which offers significant advantages in terms of reducing the necessity for transportation and their associated environmental impacts and costs. A notable advantage is the capacity to profile sheets without length limitations, thereby enabling the production of continuous sheets from eave to ridge or eave to eave. In contrast, conventional building materials such as sandwich panels typically require the transport of high volumes with reduced weight and very limited length. Hence, thanks to SkyProof’s compact metal coils, the transportation to the production site can be easily managed alongside the production machine.
Moreover, the on-site production process offers greater flexibility in tailoring the product to the specific needs of each project. The production of customised sheets reduces waste, allowing for more efficient resource utilization. This approach ensures that only the necessary amount of material is produced and used, thereby reducing the environmental impact and excess material costs. The entire process is under the control of the client.

Container integration
SkyProof guarantees that all orders will be manufactured in strict accordance with the customer’s specifications, including material and finishing. Additionally, the width of the sheets may be standard or tailor-made to suit specific requirements. The most important feature is that the length of each sheet will be made to cover the entire roof pitch without interruption. The advantages are not only aesthetic but also functional, as there are no interruptions or leaks. However, the lengths, especially for institutional buildings of middle and large size, frequently exceed the maximum transportable length. Furthermore, the transport of the sheets involves significant volumes with a very low weight, which makes economic and ecological reasons a key factor in the choice of on-site production. The production machine is integrated in a container, or is small enough to be easily transported by normal road or intermodal means (ship and rail).

Fully digitalized
The machine is equipped with a digital display that allows for total programmability, as well as remote access capabilities. The production process can be carried out by a single operator. The customer is responsible for taking charge of the produced sheets from the exit of the profiling machine to the storage and installation. The customer will be supported in the verification of the product at the beginning and during production. In the event of non-conformity, the customer will be authorised to stop the activity, thus preventing any damage due to the loss of raw material.

Integrated calender
In line with the client’s specifications, the profiling machine can be equipped with a calendar, or this function can be added at a later stage. The calendar, a highly specialised machine, enables the mechanical formation of sheets, accommodating concave, convex, or mixed curvature with multiple curves along their length. This flexibility in the machine configuration allows us to provide tailored solutions to meet specific client needs.

3D profiling
The machine is capable of producing 3D sheets in a fully automated manner. In this configuration, each forming station will be capable of independent movement in both a transverse and rotational manner, enabling precise alignment with the desired curved edge. It should be noted that this machine, for which SkyProof has developed its own know-how, will have an important level of automation. Consequently, its management will require highly specialised personnel, trained for this purpose.
